Terms of Serivce

Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

Company: Haefele TV Inc., d/b/a Haefele Connect (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

Website: https://www.htva.net

By subscribing to, accessing, or using any Internet, Television, or Phone services provided by Haefele Connect, you (“Customer” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

1. Agreement & Service Description

Haefele Connect provides high-speed internet, digital television, and voice services to residential and commercial subscribers. Service availability, performance speeds, and network configurations may vary by location.

2. Billing, Payments & Service Continuity

  • Monthly Billing Cycle: Services are billed on a calendar-month basis covering service from the 1st through the last day of the month.

  • Invoicing Schedule: Statements are generated and sent out during the 2nd to last or last week of the month preceding the service period.

  • Due Date: Monthly payments are due in full on or before the 9th day of the service month.

  • Late Fees: Accounts with unpaid balances remaining after the 9th of the month will be assessed a $3.00 late fee.

  • Disconnections & Prorating: Services disconnected in the middle of a billing period will be prorated based on the number of active days during that period.

  • Continuous Service Model: Services remain active continuously unless formally disconnected or placed on an authorized hold in accordance with these Terms. Haefele Connect does not offer daily, weekly, or micro-period billing adjustments for short-term toggling.

  • Service Suspension for Non-Payment: Continued non-payment beyond the due date may result in automated service restrictions, full suspension, or account termination. Accounts disconnected for non-payment are subject to full account reactivation fees prior to service restoration.

3. Account Suspensions, Holds & Service Restoration

  • Standard Account Status: Accounts are maintained as continuously active unless a formal status change is requested by the account holder.

  • Temporary Account Holds: Customers in good standing may request a temporary account hold (e.g., for seasonal or extended absences). Temporary holds are subject to the following conditions:

    • Rate: Accounts on hold are billed a maintenance rate of $5.00 per month.

    • Duration: Holds must remain in effect for a minimum of one (1) full month up to a maximum of seven (7) consecutive months.

    • Restrictions: Short-term, weekly, or day-to-day toggling of service is strictly prohibited. Early termination of a hold prior to the 1-month minimum will result in standard monthly charges applying for that billing period.

  • Reconnection & Dispatch Fees Following a Hold:

    • Reconnection following an authorized hold that can be processed remotely via system network provisioning incurs no fee ($0.00).

    • If restoring or turning services back on following an authorized hold requires an on-site technician visit (“truck roll”), a mandatory Technician Dispatch Fee of $30.00 will apply.

  • Reactivation Following Full Disconnection or Non-Payment: If an account is fully disconnected—whether due to a voluntary customer disconnection or involuntary termination for non-payment—the account is closed. Restoring service following a full disconnection requires payment of all outstanding balances plus the full standard Installation/Activation Fee applicable to new connections.

4. Equipment & Property Rights

  • Company Ownership: All optical network terminals (ONTs), set-top boxes, fiber drop wiring, and standard leased modems/routers provided by Haefele Connect remain the property of the Company.

  • Customer-Purchased Equipment: Modems or routers purchased directly by the Customer from Haefele Connect or a third-party retailer are the property of the Customer and are not required to be returned upon service termination.

  • Maintenance & Care: The Customer is responsible for keeping equipment safe, plugged in, and undamaged. Loss, theft, or physical damage to equipment will result in replacement charges billed to the account.

  • Return of Equipment & Unreturned Equipment Charges: Upon termination or voluntary disconnection of service, all Company-owned equipment must be returned in good working condition to Haefele Connect within thirty (30) days. Failure to return all Company-owned equipment within this 30-day period—or returning equipment that is damaged beyond normal wear and tear—will result in an Unreturned Equipment Fee equal to the full replacement cost of the equipment billed directly to the Customer’s account or charged to the payment method on file.

5. Unauthorized Distribution & Service Sharing

  • Single-Premise Limitation: Haefele Connect services are provided exclusively for use within the specific primary customer account address and its associated personal, non-commercial accessory structures, unless express written permission has been granted by Haefele Connect.

  • Allowed On-Premise Extensions: Customers are permitted to extend their Haefele Connect service to detached garages, workshops, barns, or outbuildings located on the same property, provided those structures are used solely by the primary account holder and members of the same household for personal, non-residential-rental purposes.

  • No Responsibility for Extended Networks: Haefele Connect is responsible for service delivery and signal quality only up to the primary optical network terminal (ONT) or company-provided modem/router interface. Haefele Connect assumes no responsibility or liability for the speed, quality, stability, or reliability of service on customer-installed extension cables, third-party Wi-Fi bridges, network switches, or secondary routers used to reach outbuildings or secondary structures. Troubleshooting and support for extended customer networks are the sole responsibility of the Customer.

  • Prohibited Off-Premise & Multi-Dwelling Sharing: Sharing, extending, or bridging Haefele Connect internet service to neighboring properties, adjacent parcels, separate single-family homes, or additional independent living units (such as tenant apartments, rented ADUs, or guest houses occupied by separate households) is strictly prohibited unless express written permission has been granted by Haefele Connect.

  • No Resale or Subleasing: Customer shall not resell, share, lease, or redistribute service bandwidth to third parties or separate households, whether for compensation or without charge, without prior written authorization from Haefele Connect.

  • Prohibited Wiring & Bridging: Running physical cables (e.g., Ethernet or fiber lines) across property boundaries, or setting up point-to-point wireless bridges to transmit service to neighboring properties or distinct secondary residences, is a violation of these Terms unless approved in writing by Haefele Connect.

  • Enforcement: Haefele Connect reserves the right to audit network usage, inspect physical installation drop points, adjust billing rates to account for multi-dwelling usage, or suspend service immediately for unauthorized service distribution.

6. Acceptable Use & Network Integrity

  • Compliance: Customer agrees to use services in compliance with all applicable laws and Haefele Connect’s Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) published at htva.net.

  • Prohibited Activities: Customer shall not engage in any activity that interferes with, disrupts, or degrades network performance, administrative systems, or service delivery to other subscribers.

  • Right to Terminate: Haefele Connect reserves the right to suspend or terminate service immediately for violations of the AUP, fraudulent activity, abusive billing practices, or system manipulation.

7. Limitation of Liability & Service Interruptions

Haefele Connect strives to maintain high network availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Service may be temporarily impaired due to routine maintenance, equipment failure, or events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). Haefele Connect is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from service interruptions or loss of data.

8. Changes to Terms

Haefele Connect reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on https://www.htva.net with a revised Effective Date. Continued use of services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Precedence of Individual Contracts & Specific Agreements

In the event that a Customer has entered into a separate written agreement, Master Services Agreement (MSA), commercial service contract, or custom addendum signed by an authorized representative of Haefele Connect, the specific terms, conditions, rates, and restrictions set forth in that separate written agreement shall govern and take precedence over any conflicting provisions in these general Terms of Service. All non-conflicting terms in this document shall remain fully applicable to such accounts.

10. Billing Disputes & Time Limit

Customers must notify Haefele Connect of any disputed charges, billing errors, or fee discrepancies within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Failure to report billing discrepancies within this 30-day window constitutes full acceptance of the invoice charges and a waiver of any right to request credits or refunds for that billing period.

11. Customer Indemnification

Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Haefele Connect, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all third-party claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to Customer’s use of the service, equipment, or customer-installed network extensions, or any violation of these Terms or applicable local, state, or federal laws by Customer or any user accessing Customer’s connection.

12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action, dispute, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or Haefele Connect services shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration or in local small claims court, and Customer expressly waives any right to initiate, join, or participate in any class-action lawsuit or representative proceeding against the Company.
